2024 OBA Show & Sale Sponsors

This is a brand-new exhibit for the State Fair.  With an audience closing in on 1 million people over the week, this is an incredible opportunity to educate and introduce our community members to not only bison, but their history, their importance, and our industry.  We are seeking out volunteers to assist our association during the 4 days the exhibit will be open.  Our exhibit is open to the public during fair hours of 10am-9pm on Thursday & Sunday and 10am-10pm on Friday & Saturday.  We will be hosting a presentation and Q&A every 2 hours throughout all 4 days.  We are looking for volunteers from the OBA to help with visitor Q&As as well as booth coverage where we will have OBA merchandise for sale as well as handouts and a raffle.  If you are interested in being a part of the State Fair exhibit, please email us with your availability during those timeframes: info@okbison.org

2024 Summer Social

Oklahoma Bison Association held a summer social on 6/1 at TLC Ranch in Jimtown, Oklahoma. The whole family was welcome as kids played with a variety of family friendly animals, in bounce houses, and even on the sandbar of the red river!
Current and prospective ranchers were able to learn from all The Sheffields are doing on TLC and hear from several experts. Tiffany Baxter, who has on site harvested a bison from TLC, brought her mobile processing trailer and explained her humane butchering services. From the bison pasture, Clark Roberts with the NRCS explained the rotational grazing and native grass seeding plans he helped develop for the Sheffields.  Gail Ahnert, insurance producer, provided a valuable resource as far as liability protection for ranchers.

2023 OBA Annual Winter Show & Sale

Oklahoma City Fairgrounds

Friday, December 15th, 2023 & Saturday, December 16th, 2023
The OBA hosted their first annual winter show & sale at the Oklahoma City Fairgrounds. The event not only provided support for our local bison industry but it also was a great opportunity to engage and connect our community.

The show & sale were open to the public both Friday and Saturday for happy hour and bison viewing, which had a great turnout. OBA members had the opportunity to socialize at the Friday night BBQ bison dinner and Saturday was a successful sale featuring 116 animals from ranches across Oklahoma.
